Bentley Map supports 3D data creation and editing, primarily for urban modeling purposes. Bentley Map leverages the tools provided by MicroStation for 3D solids modeling while preserving any property information in Bentley Map standard XFM format. This format can be posted to Oracle Spatial or maintained in DGN files.

Bentley Map stores the 3D models as collections of polygons. Tools are provided to convert from 3D solids to polygon collections for storage in Oracle Spatial and DGN format. Similarly, tools are provided to convert polygon collections to 3D solids for editing while still maintaining property data.
